創業家名を社名とするU-LINE。創業者ユーラインは1962年に初のビルトインアンダーカウンターアイスマシンを開発し、特許を取得しました。その後ビルトインアンダーカウンター機器に特化し、冷蔵庫、ワインセラーなどを製造販売しています。
21世紀に入りオープンキッチンが主流になるとますますアンダーカウンタータイプの需要が高まり、アメリカではその名を知られています。

The company name is taken from the founding family name. Founder U-Line developed and patented the first built-in under-counter ice machine in 1962. Since then, the company has specialized in built-in under-counter appliances, manufacturing and selling refrigerators, wine cellars, and more.
As open kitchens have become mainstream in the 21st century, demand for under-counter appliances has increased, and the company has become well-known in the United States.
